When solar radiation is not sufficient to supply 100% of hot water demands, the backup electric element may be turned on automatically by the system controller.
The installation of the roof mounted solar heater is very simple but you will need to ensure that the mounting position is designed to take the weight of the unit when filled with water.
The frame is firstly assembled after which the tank is attached. The vacuum tubes simply plug into the ports of the cylinder and then a bottom tube holder is fitted. If a tube should be broken it can be easily replaced in a few minutes.
